Cambridge Union Club : ウィキペディア英語版 | Cambridge Town Club
Cambridge Town Club (CTC) was a first-class cricket club established in Cambridge before 1819. According to ''CricketArchive'', it existed for sixty years from 1817 to 1877 and played first-class matches until 1861.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=''CricketArchive'' )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=''CricketArchive'' )〕 As with similar leading town clubs, the CTC team was representative of the county of Cambridgeshire as a whole and it ultimately evolved into Cambridgeshire County Cricket Club.〔Birley, p.83.〕 The name of the club and team varied at times and it was known as Cambridge Union Club (1826–33), Cambridge Townsmen (one match only in 1848) and the Cambridge Town and County Club (1844–56). Among notable players who represented CTC were Tom Hayward senior, Robert Carpenter and George Tarrant. ==References==
